Workshop Part 1 £69
This is an ideal workshop suitable for beginners and those with a bit more experience. The three main techniques you will learn are Two-colour distressing, using one colour over another. Texturing the Paint, which you will accentuate with Clear, Dark, White and Black Wax. We will also experiment with colour mixing, laying a flat smooth finish and creating a wash effect
These are the techniques which we use most, to produce a complete variety of finishes to our painted pieces of furniture. These techniques will help you go the next level after just painting a piece in a flat colour. We also learn about Annie herself, problem solving, using Annie Sloan as a blackboard paint, making tints, wax application and whatever other titbits of advice we can cram into 3 hours.
Workshop Part 2 £79
This workshop is really for people who have a bit of experience with Annie Sloan, and they want to achieve some more advanced style finishes. The sort of thing you’d see on a piece of furniture and think ‘Now how did they do THAT!’ There are three main techniques covered. Gilding using metallic leaf, Image Transfer with vintage style images and Stencilling but with a twist. Apart from those we’ll also look at Ombre and do some craqueleur, where to source good images and lots, lots more. And you know what, it’s good fun too!
Remember, we provide everything you need including Annie Sloan aprons to help keep you clean. A choice of refreshments including cake and biscuits. All you need to bring is yourself in suitable clothes and some enthusiasm.
Places can only be confirmed when payment is taken. If you need to cancel or change the booking, you can do so up until 14 days before the course. If you need to change within 14 days, you will need to pay 50% of the booking fee. Thanks
