I want to tell you about the Dark stuff, Dark Wax stuff that is! I normally sing the praises of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, but I think this Dark Wax really doesn’t get the recognition it should. I use the Dark Wax on it’s own on, on lots of unpainted pieces which have water marks or scratches and this stuff transforms them. It’s easy to put on, it’s quick to put on, and it makes them lush! I work fast and I work the wax in hard on pieces like this, it helps the wax get into the wood and it’s a good workout to boot! Make sure you have plenty of rags or industrial type paper towels and wipe off the excess as you go. I work a fairly big section at a time. If you want to buff (and you don’t have to, you know) do it the next day, it’s a lot easier as a lot of the wax will have soaked in.
