Dry Brushing a Mirror and a Table with Annie Sloan Old White

Dry Brushing – Here’s a technique you might want to try – great for showing off wood grain on dark pieces and I think it gives details like mouldings a big lift.
There’s nothing to it, basically use an almost dry brush to apply a very small amount of paint. (dab you’re loaded brush onto a newspaper first to ‘dry’ it out)
This whole mirror (almost 6ft tall) probably used about a tablespoon of paint! It’s very quick, it’s not messy and it saves you paint – how about that for a good tip?
I used Annie Sloan Old White and NO wax as mirror’s generally don’t get much contact (not like a chest of drawers) – there is no base coat, it’s just a very, very, very thin coat of Old White.

The table had the same technique applied – except this time I waxed with Clear Waxdrybrush before and after whole mirror dry brush table dry brush details dry brush legs
